Mission: "To further educate the public about the rich, cultural heritage of the peoples of the County of Tulare and the history of our region."

The Tulare County Museum Foundation has filed for 501(c)3 status and received its IRS tax number. The Foundation is in the process of forming its nine-member executive board of directors. It is anticipated the executive board will consist of: one appointee designated by the Tulare County Board of Supervisors; one appointee designated by the Tulare County Office of Education Board of Trustees, one appointee designated by the Tule River Tribal Council; one appointee designated by the Tulare County Historical Society Board of Directors; one appointee designated by the Tulare-Kings Hispanic Chamber and four members chosen at large.
The Foundation’s purpose: The Foundation exists for the sole purpose of soliciting funds to support the construction, development and the operation of the Tulare County Museum and its educational programs and exhibits.
